Walter W. Heller, 1915-1987.
Wisconsin-trained
Keynesian economist. Although a
member of the economics faculty at the University of Minnesota from 1946, Walter Heller is perhaps
best known for his substantial periods in public policy as an advisor to the US
government through much of his career. Heller was chairman of the
Council of Economic Advisors under John F. Kennedy, from 1961 to 1964.
