Ha-Joon Chang - Economics for People.

The Institute for New Economic Thinking (INET) has launched a new lecture series on "Economics for People" with Ha-Joon Chang [see the original INET video site or YouTube playlist.]

In this course of lectures, Cambridge economist Ha-Joon Chang guides us through a series of important economic questions relevant to modern society,  placing them in their institutional and historical context.   Professor Chang shows us how the simple assumptions or prescriptions of conventional economics have only a very limited grasp of these topics, and have often guided policy in the wrong direction.  He vividly demonstrates the importance of taking a pluralistic approach to major economic challenges like technological change, economic development, inequality, financial crises, climate change, etc.

We have put together a set of online resources for those who wish to dig deeper into the references Professor Chang makes in the lectures.  The links below,  organized by video episode, go to economist profiles, to schools of thought, and essays and surveys currently available on the HET Website.
